Who publishes this

AutomotiveReinsurance.com is owned and published by Elite FI Partners, a dealer F&I products, reinsurance, and training agency founded in 2019 by Michael Aufmuth and Emilia Aufmuth, who are both Agency Principals of the firm.

  • Michael Aufmuth — Agency Principal and the principal author of this publication. In dealerships from 1997 (sales, sales management, F&I, general management), on the agency side since 2013, co-founder of Elite FI Partners in 2019. He leads reinsurance program design and F&I training curriculum.
  • Emilia Aufmuth — Agency Principal and co-founder. Eleven years in dealership finance and sales operations and a licensed insurance broker; she oversees agency operations. She is not an author of this publication.

How this site is funded, and what that means

There is no paywall, advertising, or sponsored placement on this site. It is funded entirely by Elite FI Partners, which sells F&I products, reinsurance program services, and training to dealerships. That is a commercial interest in the subject matter, and we state it on every article rather than burying it here.

What that means in practice: this publication explains how reinsurance arrangements work and what to examine, and it does not claim to be a neutral survey of every provider in the market. Where an article names structures, fees, or evaluation criteria, the intent is that a dealer could use it to question any provider, including us. Where a next step involves modelling numbers or engaging a firm, we say so plainly and link to it. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy a specific program.
