This page describes how we produce the data-driven work on Automotive Reinsurance, benchmarks, loss-ratio studies, and market analysis. It exists so readers can judge the numbers for themselves.
Data sources
Where we publish benchmarks or aggregates, we describe the source (first-party program data, administrator statements, or public filings), the sample, and the period. We do not publish figures we cannot substantiate.
Aggregation & anonymization
Dealer-level data used in aggregate studies is anonymized and reported only at a level that cannot identify an individual dealership, and only with appropriate consent.
Dating & updates
Every research asset carries a publication date and, where relevant, an "as of" date for time-sensitive figures. Recurring reports (annual and quarterly) note the comparison period.
Limitations
We state the limits of each dataset. Benchmarks describe the sample we observed; they are not guarantees of any individual program's results. See our Disclaimer.
